Goroka evokes a story of an imaginary traveller who scours the earth to find memorable treasures that speak to her heart. After stumbling into a weathered Asian cabinet, she ventures further into Asia Pacific where she lands in Papua New Guinea. To her delight, she witnesses the oldest running annual tribal festival in the Northern highlands; The Goroka Festival. Amazed by the primitive extravaganza, she borrows an iconic ornamental feature - the colored nose with a stick piercing and decorative feathers - which she cannot resist but to translate into an intricate handle for her cherished cabinet.
